When I was a kid I'd get up early on weekend mornings and sit in front of my parent's turntable, listening to old vinyl albums from their collection. Patsy Cline, ABBA, The Bee Gees... didn't matter. I loved it all.

The technology has changed, but the importance of music in my life hasn't. I struggle to maintain a consistent reading practice and I'm never the guy who's up on all the latest movies or shows. But I couldn't imagine a single day without music. I start the day with it and go to bed with it. For me, music is much more than notes and chords and vocals. It has been, and always will be, my constant companion.

Seasonal Playlists

These are not curated in any way other than I heard a song, kinda liked it, and threw it on a playlist to listen to again. I create a new one every season since, like most things, my listening habits tend to follow a path around the sun that changes depending on the time of year. It's also just a nice way to go back in time and see what I was listening to at some point in the past. Some of the tracks that end up on one of these playlists never make it anywhere else; others get added to my permanent collection.
